The National Hispanic Press Foundation promotes Hispanic publications through community outreach to academic and professional institutions, facilitation of research and recognition of excellence in the field. The National Hispanic Press Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charitable educational organization created and granted tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service Code.

These objectives support the mission and frame the National Hispanic Press Foundation’s structure, governance, staffing and budget process and include:

• Harness the expertise and resources of the industry’s educational bodies to support the achievement of the Foundation's mission,
• Ensure a focus on activities that advance the goal of expanding the success of Hispanic populations in the publications industry,
• Collaborate with other publications and media industry organizations when appropriate,
• Support youth through college scholarships,
• Collaborate with Hispanic organizations throughout the country that promote educational opportunities for Hispanic youth,
• Support research to determine industry needs and business trends,
• Promote the results of the work of the National Hispanic Press Foundation, and
• Support the programs and services of the National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc.
