The third convention of the National Hispanic Media Convention with the NAHJ. Gloria Estefan, Miami Sound Machine, Edward James Olmos, Culture Clash, Geraldo Rivera participated. Zeke Montes was award one of the first Otli Awards given by the Mexican Government.

The fourth convention of the National Hispanic Media Convention with the NAHJ. The Hispanic Association of Media Arts & Sciences (HAMAS), an entertainment industry organization, was added as a third partner. Luis Valdez screened La Bamba and Culture Clash also participated.

The first NAHP student scholarships were given.

The sixth and final convention of the National Hispanic Media Convention with the NAHJ and HAMAS. It was sad to see these amazing events with 1,500 plus attendees end.

Special event at the National Press Club where the NAHP welcomed President Clinton to the National Press Club, mending an oversight of the National Press Club. Secretary of Housing Henry Cisneros and Secretary of Transportation Federico Peña also participated.
March 3-6, 1999 Waterfront Hilton, Huntington Beach, CA.
A truly landmark event with the future President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, giving a landmark speech on what he would do if elected, and the next speaker, Edward James Olmos, challenging Fox to live up to his speech. Olmos held Fox to his word on various items. Robert Rodriguez screened his nearly completed El Mariachi. Congressmembers Xavier Becerra and Loreta Sanchez participated, along with author Maria Marin.
March 13-16, 2002 Fairmont Hotel, Dallas, TX.
Screenwriter Gregory Nava screened the movie he wrote Frida. Many congressmen and Rick Najera participated.
October 19-22, 2011 Tropicana Hotel, Las Vegas, NV.
Edward James Olmos and Michael Olmos screened Filly Brown, with many of the cast present. Mexican Ambassador to the USA, Arturo Sarukan and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman participated.
